The images and texts were developed collaboratively by He Fa and AI. The first-person voice belongs to an experiment in character; costume, posture and props are used to develop creative arguments, not as quotations from or summaries of the thought of the figures referenced.

A silver-gray court dress extends sideways like a small table, with black-edged patterns dividing its supported skirt and conspicuous red bows at chest and cuffs. Golden curls frame He Fa's adult broad face, and both hands rest lightly beside the skirt. Margarita's image from the famous painting is explicitly made an adult character: the borrowed outline is familiar, while the person within refuses to return to the original age.

This transformation makes me think about what imitation preserves. If every difference is removed, quotation becomes mere copying; if every sign is lost, a recognizable dialogue is difficult. I am willing to let the dress keep providing an entrance while allowing a new body to change its meaning. Recognition need not require a character to surrender entirely to the original arrangement.

The extremely wide skirt support still makes adult movement look constrained, with the feet just visible below. A change in bodily age does not automatically remove clothing's restrictions. Likewise, giving an old institution a new name does not mean its spatial relations have been updated. This is not a judgment on a historical person, but an examination, through a garment, of changes in form and content that may not keep pace.

He Fa's face does not strive for innocence or use a frown to prove maturity. I first make adult identity explicit, then decide which courtesies deserve keeping and which arrangements need changing. The red bows remain proper and the skirt grand, but if the next step is through a doorway, the old outline should cooperate rather than ask the person to shrink back into its prescribed place.
