The images and texts were developed collaboratively by He Fa and AI. The first-person voice belongs to an experiment in character; costume, posture and props are used to develop creative arguments, not as quotations from or summaries of the thought of the figures referenced.

A diamond-shaped cover stretches sideways from my shoulders. Fine black and white lines gather into broad curving waves across it. My pale-yellow face sits at the top; small orange shoes emerge from the narrow bottom. The pattern appears to move, but there is no evidence that the body has moved. Instability occurs first in looking, not in a changed stance.

The double-mesh form offers a model of relation. A visible wave need not be printed in full on either layer; it can emerge when two rules meet. I would use this to limit the habit of assigning a single culprit: something happened, therefore every cause must be found within one person. Put the same parts into different relations, and the result may differ.

This does not remove individual responsibility. Knowing the wave comes from interaction lets us ask about each layer’s orientation, distance and opportunities for change. If “that is how the system works” withdraws every hand, relation becomes another untouchable excuse. Little hands emerging at the diamond’s sides remind me that people can still help adjust this complex surface.

The face remains uncovered by lines, providing a relatively stable viewing point. I will not pass dizziness off as profundity or demand discomfort as the price of acknowledging structural complexity. Explanation should make the wave’s formation clearer, not add another mesh that traps every question in a prettier pattern.

Orange shoes still touch the ground and the diamond has stopped expanding. I will seek explicable relations between these two layers, neither elevating one into the whole cause nor letting relation replace every hand participating in it.
