Dialogue and Timing Notes
The wording and speaker attribution follow the human-confirmed record of 6 May 2026. Dialogue timestamps are historical navigation points; they have not been recalibrated line by line for this edition. Still-image times are actual sample positions in the fixed 4K master. A single image cannot establish who is speaking or being addressed.
This image relates to Chapter 6’s discussion of viewing conditions. The nearby toilet dialogue is listed separately as a sound record. The lighting stand is not a camera, and the image cannot establish whom each viewer is listening to.

Return to the Book
In an image of the public event in Shoot Self with You, spectators, a transparent partition, and lighting equipment enter the same field of view. A light stand occupies part of the image, spectators are on the other side, and bodies share the space with the objects that keep the event running. The performance does not fill the entire frame; the space supporting it is also retained.
