What Does “One More Time” Ask Us to Repeat?

Dialogue and Timing Notes

The wording and speaker attribution follow the human-confirmed record of 6 May 2026. Dialogue timestamps are historical navigation points; they have not been recalibrated line by line for this edition. Still-image times are actual sample positions in the fixed 4K master. A single image cannot establish who is speaking or being addressed.

These words give “one more time” a specific source. On their own, they do not establish every point the chapter makes about training, familiarity or the distribution of attention.

Return to the Book

This suggestion also appears in Shoot Self with You. I want to pause first over the word “again.” It points to the past but calls for a future action. The next attempt will not begin from nothing: the participants have already heard feedback, know that a particular action has failed, and may have become more familiar with their partners, or may already be tired. Repetition always carries something left by the previous attempt. Even when the lines and positions are exactly the same, what people have to deal with may have changed.
