HE FA ON XXX / CHARACTER WRITING

He Fa on the Courteous Geode

the Courteous Geode

After revealing the light

A rough shell and purple crystals coexist; opening an interior does not turn it into a resource available for removal.

A propositionDisplaying the value within does not grant permission to dispose of it; appreciation should coexist with keeping it intact.

My giant egg-shaped body tilts open into a shallow crystal cavity. A rough grey-pink shell surrounds deep berry-purple clusters; my face remains on the upper-right exterior, with two pink-grey platforms supporting me below. I seem to have voluntarily revealed part of my interior while retaining the position of a courteous host beside it. The gleam is attractive enough, but attraction alone still cannot decide how it should be approached.

Once the inside is visible, it is easy to expect more: take out a cluster, light it more brightly, open the rest completely. Such expectations may come from curiosity or a well-meaning wish to preserve value. But if every display automatically prompts demands for further disposal, publicity becomes the beginning of lost boundaries, and the body can protect itself only by closing again.

The rough shell is not useless packaging for the crystals. It shapes the opening and makes the distinction between inside and outside perceptible. I would use this relation to reconsider value: the praised part often depends on less glittering supports. Extracting only the most moving cluster might yield an isolated gleam while losing the way of encountering it that first made it shine.

Keeping something intact cannot be an absolute reason to refuse all use. Some contact brings new understanding and creates conditions for care. Scope, purpose and reversibility need negotiation, not merely proof of how many people want to look. Willingness to open one place can be a specific choice; it need not mean every other part has simultaneously consented.

I keep my face beside the opening, so courtesy does not mean withdrawal. The two platforms continue supporting the rough shell, and the crystals remain visible. If you are willing to stop here, the gleam loses none of its occurrence. An interior can share its appearance with the outside without being required to become a collection available for dismantling at any moment. That is a relation worth learning slowly.
