Side view of a short broad shade

A short broad pale-gold shade hangs centrally in a horizontal black field, with its upper opening and two suspension lines visible. Dense diagonal ribs cross the outer wall, evenly transmitted light illuminates the shell, and a finely undulating lower rim closes its flattened cylindrical outline.
