Sangou is listed in the 2016 proposal jointly signed by He Fa and Zhang Aoshuang as FakingAosome. This animation retains aosome’s byline from its 2022 publication.
The still is the original first frame. Playing restores the original loop; it does not resume from the still’s position.

A 2016 proposal jointly signed by He Fa and Zhang Aoshuang lists Sangou among FakingAosome’s works. It describes a “cyber-theatrical action”: using the internet to create a series of GIF images of a virtual character and collaging them into new theatrical and narrative spaces. The attribution comes from an explicit team work list, rather than assumptions about aliases or folder names.
In the public images, the simply drawn character repeats as a blue pattern, changes its posture in magenta lines and moves in loops against a green ground. A limited number of frames turns small gestures into fragments that can be watched again. Brief poems and wordplay add another voice to the figure. A body need not first stand on a physical stage: arrangement and timing themselves organise the encounter.
Five public articles from August 2022 place Sangou alongside solo dance, Baudelaire, Hamlet and Guy Debord. Four are credited to frankfaker; A Sangou Dancing Alone is credited to aosome. The 2016 proposal establishes the work’s relationship to the duo, while each 2022 publication retains its byline. Aliases are not forced into one-to-one real-name matches, nor are all later images retrospectively dated to 2016.
The 2016 proposal establishes the team and work attribution, not participation by this project in the CAFAM Biennial. Images come from the 2022 public articles, with their proportions, loops and article credits preserved.

Fragments spreads image strips across a plane, while Sangou GIF Theatre places small actions in loops. One lets the eye choose where to stay; the other repeatedly returns an action during that stay.
The complete horizontal image consists of dense horizontal strips, with divisions and seams remaining visible.

Sangou GIF TheatreHamlet’s Mirror
FakingAosome’s Hamlet’s Mirror displaces live bodies and projections; Sangou GIF Theatre organizes loops through virtual figures. The duo explores different theatres, and a preceding physical performance cannot be assumed for the GIF work.
The portfolio statement identifies the interaction of performer, large screen and projection, grounding the comparison of bodily obstruction and images projected back onto a body.
