A seventh chapter conceived as an ending

The original title identifies Time Canyon as “the concluding seventh chapter of The Great Chain of Being.” It separates two narrative strands: The Disappearing Tail as an absolute narrative and The Story of the Queen Bee as a relative narrative. The document preserves a conceptual structure and spatial intentions.

The body as a passage through time

The Disappearing Tail unfolds through a passage of excretion, a corridor of digestive time, womb-like warmth, weightless immersion and an inverted world. Birth, division, collision and fusion lead toward mimicry, competition and death. The proposal organizes narrative time through bodily sensations as well as the succession of events.

Five groups of keywords

The mind map develops five groups of keywords: failure, excretion, death, birth and fate. The Story of the Queen Bee provides another narrative material through which birth, competition and selection can be considered. It is retained here as creative material, rather than as a scientific account of bee biology.

The proposed final state

The document closes with the idea that “the time of performance finally becomes ruins and fragments.” The surviving PDF and MindNode file document the conception; they do not yet establish a final installation, performance date or venue.

Inside and Outside a Vehicle places roads and vehicles in repeated rows; Time Canyon proposes narrative through bodily passages. Both handle passage and segmentation, but photographic records and an imagined experience are different kinds of evidence.
